Incorporating advanced construction technologies in teaching can enable students to understand levels of quality, efficiency, safety, sustainability, and value of money into the current practices deployed on projects. This course on “Advanced construction technologies” covers a wide range of modern techniques and practices that encompass the latest developments in systems, procedures, and management of various categories of projects. The technological requirements for constructing high rise buildings and infrastructure projects would be listed and discussed from the Contractor’s perspective. The contents will reflect emerging practices and challenges that affect the construction industry. Topics will include tall building construction, Bridges, and flyovers construction as well as construction of Public transport projects. High –Rise buildings are unique construction objects, in the design and construction of which specific rules and regulations apply.
