Finance being the PreRequisite to all the areas of Business/Profession, becomes a Necessary Subject to Learn. Every Individual, Corporate or the Government is directly as well as indirectly connected to the World of Finance. Students belonging to the NonCommerce Back Ground feel that the tryst with Finance is a typically difficult journey. This course aims to deal with that myth and create confidence amongst students to deal with basics of number crunching and interpretation. This Course aims to provide a working knowledge of the Financial Terminologies, Concepts and Theories. The importance of understanding the Financial Statements such as a Accounting, Balance Sheet, Audited Annual Accounts and the Profit and Loss Statement is understood through this course. Simple Concepts of Analysis such as NPV, IRR, Ratios, etc. lead to enable the students to make appropriate Financial Decisions. A combination of theory and problemsolving tutorials enable students to apply the concepts to develop the practical problemsolving skills. The idea is to enable a student to take contextual financial decisions on her/his own.
