Urban Forests - The Case study of Lokvan, Ahmedabad

The city of Ahmedabad has around 6 lakh trees, thus, giving the city a tree density of 13.1 trees/ha and a tree cover of 6.66%. To achieve a minimum tree cover, the total number of trees should be increased by three folds. This project looks at mapping and visualizing an Urban forest in Ahmedabad, thus, understanding the Biodiversity, categorizing the trees ans understanding the benefits of such a forest withing the city in terms of the ecosystem services it provides.
