La Perouse Headland + Bare Island Planning

The project revolved around the culturally significant area of La Perouse and Bare Island and bringing in more population to recognise the area's rich heritage. An old fort on Bare Island, Cable Museum and Watchtower were reunited in a way to develop the area on an urban level. A community centre in the cable museum, an Aboriginal Art Museum and Outdoor leisure spaces were developed, keeping in mind the very stark demographics of the area, which comprised majorly of the Aborigines and Torres State Islanders. Simply creating networks by eccentrically using the Watchtower, a holistic programming was approached.
