HIAL - Himalayan Institute of Alternatives, Ladakh is an upcoming Alternative University coming up in Ladakh. HIAL Governer’s House is a residential building being built in HIAL south campus. the primary aim of this building is to serve as a residence for dignitaries or volunteers when they come to serve in HIAL. It is backed up with mountains on the north and the view of HIAL campus on the south. HIAL Staff Quarters is a cluster of residential buildings for the employees. All the four quarters have the same design but are built using different materials such as Adobe, Pre-FREB, Straw-Clay and Rammed-Earth.
