The assignment began with a site visit to the Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalya, designed by Charles Correa. First the building was explored, discovering various details, materials and spaces in a superficial manner. Next a connection was drawn between why certain places were placed in specific areas and built using those specific materials. By doing so, the relationship between design and user experience was noticed. Furthermore, the building was interpreted based on its architectural style which was a consequence of its function, hence gaining a holistic understanding of the building, its typology and its significance.
