here.The act of doing something so monumental and yet be so simple in nature was how Gandhi was said to have lived his life. The Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya has managed to capture this very essence of the Gandhi way of living. A cluster of repeating modules surrounded by green patches of land and small trees between the Sabarmati river and the ashram road form the museum that holds Mahatma Gandhi’s life within itself. The horizontal widespread design, the modest and honest structure of the museum helps it merge with its surroundings. The entrance to the museum is confound till you reach close enough to be able to see the green land on either side preceding two of the first three modules leaving one open for people. Unlike other museums, Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya appears to be a very informal space which allows people to move into the museum without any hesitation.
