This course aims at understanding the importance of "Type" and "Typologies" in architectural discourse. Then rationalize how specific type can be defined and utilized to study a vast range of buildings by comparing a few which fall under a similar category. In this project, 'Central Bank of India' at Ahmedabad was taken as the major case study. It is compared with 'Lever House' in New York and 'Dena Bank' in Ahmedabad. This gave a clear understanding of the Tower and Plinth Typology of Banks across the world.
