DCOOP, Design Cooperative is an architectural firm established by Quaid Doongerwala and Shilpa Ranade in 2003. It works on a diverse range of projects ranging from Residential houses, interiors to Institutional projects. Their practice believes in designing with an understanding of history, context, program and functional requirements along with realities of site and construction. Their practice aims in bridging the gap between design, contingencies of execution and sensitivity to requirements of users. The design process is deeply engaging with multiple option explored, model studies and material studies. The projects are characterized by their refined proportions and a sense of balanced restfulness.
