This write-up is an infographic, a set of instructions for installing a building in a context. A building is the single-most physical entity of an urban fabric that holds the power to alter it and vise-versa reproduce itself with time and occupancy. The document instructs on how to build with this sensitivity. Each project comes with a set of formal and programmatic challenges, primarily based in the private realm. The focus here is spatial invigoration inside-out, supposedly a key to creating an experiential and lively architecture. Each step comes with a set of diagrammatic ideas that can be altered to determine the form, orientation, and placement on site; its only purpose is to configure the public/private threshold. This system gives me all the necessary information to create a “socially responsive” building.
