Weaving Techniques

This course provide a comprehensive exploration of the intricate art of weaving through handson experience with a sample loom. We gain practical knowledge of multifaceted weaving process, commencing with meticulous selection of yarn, the preparation of both warp and weft yarns, the stagewise dressing of the loom, the development of weaving patterns on a graph, and the execution of diverse weaving patterns. It is imperative to acknowledge that weaving is a craft best mastered through active practice, and it is d using this handson engagement that the designer is in the closest proximity to the materials. In recognition of the constraints posed by time limitations, the course curriculum has been thoughtfully structured around the utilization of a sample loom, facilitating the creation of a manageable fabric size. This approach ensures that participants can navigate the intricate weaving process effectively, even if they possess no prior experience in this craft.
