OPTIMIZING BUILDING PARAMETERS _PARAMETRIC SOLUTION

The aim of the project is to develop a parametric regulator to optimize the FSI of a building on a site in a given location. It involves parameters to alter the road width, setback regulations, building height restrictions , ground coverage, courtyard size, number of floors, exclusion of area for services and circulation.  We considered the case of R1 residential zone- Category D1 in Ahmedabad.The Galapagos editor on Grasshopper plugin in Rhinoceros software ran the optimization graph of the above factors to achieve the maximum possible FSI for the building.
