Investigating the affordability in the proposed RAH and understanding the factors impacting the same

This research investigates the impact of Residential Affordable Housing (RAH) zone, proposed under AUDA DP 2021, on the housing affordability . It tries to find weather the planning regulations pertaining to this zone are bringing affordability to the people. The aim of this research is to assess the impact of planning regulations of the proposed RAH zone in Ahmedabad, on the housing affordability for lower and middle-income groups within the eastern part of the RAH zone. Policy recommendations are provided at an urban development authority level to enhance housing affordability in the zone.
