HH-2 Tectonics

The History course looks at the evolution of architectural forms through the lens of tectonics--materials, technology, structure, and the resulting expressions. It investigates the materiality of architecture by focusing on how the processes of making, labor, materials, skill, knowledge, and design changed over time, resulting in the diversity of architecture we see today.  Centre for Environmental Education -Ahmedabad campus, designed by Neelkanth Chhaya, is spread across 14 acres and has several functions supporting sustainability and environmental education programs.
