Tech : Building Materials and Methods for Energy Efficiency

This was a group project which explored tensile structures and their forces in a 1:10 scale model. In the final exploration, we took inspiration from the previous models and included the two main elements - mast and arch, to design a performance space. The performance space is spread across an area of 30m X 30m, with an arch that runs over the area. It rises up from the ground to a height of 5m at the opposite side of the mast. The mast extends over 18m and holds the arch through the tension cables.
