Design of Silos

The project is to design a corrugated steel silo for storing Maize, as per the problem statement the structure is located in Ahmedabad, design is done with reference to IS 4955 Part 1 and 2- 1974 for pressure calculation, J M Rotter particularly for corrugated silo design, IS 875 Part 3  for wind calculation.The major learning's in the project  was to check the effect of corrugated sheet causing reduction of wall pressure, structural behavior of Hat sections used in corrugated silo, checking stability of the structure for wind and earthquake forces.
