Cinema offers architects a valuable tool to incorporate contemporary elements into historical buildings while maintaining their integrity. It showcases the buildings we encounter in our daily lives in our cities, from modern structures to historic ones. The relationship between cinema and architecture is close as architecture is often used as a set in films, creating a sense of place and conveying meaning. This research focuses on how architecture is used in futuristic sci-fi films to promote cultural identity and empowerment. Specifically, the study analyzes the design of Wakanda's architecture in the Black Panther series and how it relates to Afrofuturism by analyzing scenes from the films.
