The research project aims to evaluate the conditions of shelters under the DAY-NULM-SUH scheme in Ahmedabad, concerning the common services with specific objectives. Identify the gaps and challenges in the implementation of the scheme. Evaluate the process of development of Shelter for Urban Homeless, time line, budget and operational issues along with the identification of beneficiaries and their eligibility. Expected outcomes include providing recommendations for policy intervention, such that the bottlenecks in the provision of Shelter for Urban Homeless are mitigated. And provide guidelines for development and ope-rationalization of the asset and possibility of using it for larger community.
