Compared to other forms of transportation, public transportation buses could be viewed as being safer. However, due to the important consequences, it has for both operators and passengers, safety is a key concern with transit buses. Therefore, assessing the accident risk along bus routes offers a chance to raise transit operators' level of safety performance. The aim of the study is to develop safety risk assessment for UPSRTC. The work focus on understanding the current UPSRTC bus accident scenario of the Saharanpur region (study area). Moving on to how accidents are managed by organization so the focus of the study is more towards organization factors and their inputs towards improving safety of the system.
