Constructing Narratives

Studying Gandhi Ashram was a deep dive into understanding the dynamic relationship between architecture and its fundamental components. Our approach entailed reading the building, crafting comprehensive diagrams, and weaving narratives around them. Central to our exploration was decoding the essence of the building within its surrounding context, analyzing its organization, massing, and circulation patterns. We delved into the functional aspects, scrutinizing how spaces were organized to serve their intended purposes. Additionally, we examined the construction techniques and envelope design. Exploring the intrinsic qualities of the interior spaces, understanding how they fostered a sense of harmony and functionality within the Ashram's ethos.
