What is a contemporary community and how can evolving typologies support desirable aspects of communal living and our unique culture?
This studio attempts to generate an honest enquiry in redefining the blurred line between our needs and wants, what is a home for the future that is relevant and also contributes towards the essential ingredients for the makeup of a healthy, inclusive and sustainable community. Students will have the opportunity to engage with the design process as a synthesis of logistics, pragmatics, aesthetics and economics.
