Based on the idea of fragments in architecture in an urban chaos, the project was designing a library amidst the historical context of Ahmedabad, a collage of chaos. The specific design tried to explore the idea of fragments in whole as well as in parts. In an attempt to establish a dialogue with the strong context and its multiple layers, the design also attempted to address the dialogue between the building elements and materiality, such that there is a constant exchange between the elements of the building within themselves, as well as the building as a whole with the context.
