Wall-ed City

The walled city of Ahmedabad, on the eastern banks of the Sabarmati River, presents a rich architectural heritage. It is a multi-cultural settlement, with Bhadra Citadel, walls, and gates of fort city, mosques, tombs, as well as, Hindu and Jain Temples located in the same neighborhood. While the residential fabric is made of densely-packed traditional housing system (pols). With the heritage so prolific, and the recent declaration as World Heritage City by UNESCO, tourism is bound to flourish. Hence, the design is thought of, which introduces this heritage to the visitors.
