Landscape Design Studio –III: Affirming Identity through Design
Studio 3 takes up specific positions on varying outlooks of landscape design. It is designed to create in-depth engagement, develop acumen and allow students to acquire skills to explore the topic.
The project that looks at creation of pocket gardens across the states of Gujarat & Maharashtra, with a view to connect people to the local natural rythms through floristic expressions. Each student will locate project in a unique urban or suburban sub-environment of the three states. The design shall explore local phyto geographic rythms of nature through demonstration of floristic diversity and seasonal changes. This studio will affirm local geocultural identity through planting design.
