Decoding the process of architectural production

'The Giant and the city' is a children's book that features Center Point Apartments to depict the ever-changing and interlinked relationship between buildings and its environs. The book is a culmination of research done throughout the semester on various aspects of the making of a building such as materials, labour, practitioners, structure and building laws. This research was done with minimal archival matter present and its construction history was 'decoded' by studying the structure, allied histories of similar apartments and history of the city during the emergence of apartments in Ahmedabad. This project depicts my journey to the final book.
