A SILENT RENDEZVOUS

THE PROJECT BRINGS TOGETHER SEVEN URBAN DEVELOPMENT AGENCIES NAMELY BRTS, ITDP, SAATH, SEWA,PAS, UMC AND THE HERITAGE CELL AND OFFERS THEM A SPACE TO OPERATE FROM.THESE NEW MODELS OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT REPRESENT THE NEW SHIFT CITIES ARE MAKING IN THE POST GLOBAL REALITIES. I ENVISIONED THE BUILDING TO BE A REFLECTION OF THE CITY ITSELF, A MICROCOSM, SPACES WHICH ARE FAMILIAR TO THE PUBLIC AND A SIMPLE DESIGN LANGUAGE THAT CAN RELATE TO ITS AUDIENCE. THE BUILDING , LIKE THE CITY GRADUALLY REVEALS ITSELF TO THE PUBLIC OFFERING THEM SPACES FOR INTERACTION AND COMTEMPLATION . THESE SPACES ARE TIED TOGTETHER WITH VIOIDS OF GREENERY AND COURTYARDS THAT ACT AS TRANSITIONAL SPACES BETWEEN THE BUILT FORMS. AMONG THE HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF THE BUSY CITY WE ALL TEND TO LOOK FOR A SPACE WE CAN FIND SOLACE IN. THE BUILDING ASPIRES TO PROVIDE SUCH SPACES TO THE URBAN PUBLIC, A PLACE WHERE SILENCE CAN BE ACHIEVED THROUGH WORK AND INTERACTIION.
