Heritage Gali

The AIM of the studio was to redesign the "Gandharva vav", situated in Saraspur, Ahmedabad. The surrounding areas consist of a vegetable market, a public washroom and a residential colony. The CONCEPT was to get the street, the "gali" inside into the vav and give the vendors an area to set up stalls. But, since the function needed to respect and relate to the heritage building more, the idea of creating an indoor heritage street, celebrating the arts, craft and culture of Gujarat was finalized.
