Live-work Neighborhood

The core idea of the project is to provide a live-work neighbourhood in the Green belt at Vasna. The thought of providing such neighbourhood came from the existing site conditions. To understand how such neighbourhoods work, case studies of chawl typology of Sambhaji nagar SRA, Mumbai and live-work typology of Gujarat Housing Board has been studied. From these case studies, various parameters came up of how a live-work condition should be incorporated. Taking up all the parameters, a set of rules were made to design such neighborhood on the site, keeping in mind the site study and existing condition of the site.
The final design generated in octopus plugin, was further restrategized on the basis of flexibility of space around each unit and then allocating the kind of live-work derived from the case studies, that would possible happen in such typology on each level. The levels/floors are being repeated till 8 floors.
