Redesigning for Pandemic: Airport Terminal

In times of pandemic, public spaces are most affected and travel becomes a major concern. The Airports, though efficaciously planned, are not equipped to function optimally during a pandemic, where social-distancing and isolation become the key players. Hence, Re-designing and Re-defining the circulation and movements of the passengers form the base for our design.

The design started with identifying problems with the existing terminal and addressing them specifically through Algorithmic Thinking and Parametric Design Process. The designs were then analysed and evaluated using Evolutionary Computation to generate viable solutions.
