Rethinking Clay

The studio aimed at designing an exhibition through creating spaces through a system approach keeping in mind the 965 theory. The brief is to design an exhibition at the Hertwitz gallery,Ahmedabad ni Gufa for the firm Clay Club. The concept behind the exhibition "Rethinking Clay" is celebrating the versatility of the material clay by taking the visitor through a journey  which starts with introduction and continues through the stages of realization, curiosity ,amazement and ends with an stage of awareness for the material ; sensitively portrayed via a holistic approach of 965. Client Study & Design Brief - Derivation of a program statement after analyzing and understanding client's ideologies.

Product Study - Analysis of the kinds of products the firm manufactures and clustering them through their typologies.

Case Study and Site Analysis

Process - Iterations of different kinds of spatial layouts and circulation patterns keeping in mind the typology and dimensions of the site.

The poem acts as a backbone deriving the journey through the space. Thus the lines of the poem acts as a catalyst in the curation of the exhibition. The same adbhut ras is brought in the space through three different forms as the visitor advances in the journey.
