Evolutionary computation of Barcelona's L'Eixample

Barcelona has always suffered from increasing population and congested spaces. The intention of this studio was to use computational tools to analyze and evolve the gridded city of Eixample, using evaluation criterias such as solar exposure, courtyard exposure and volume. After several trials and experiments, a final pseudo-code was developed, that resulted in an evolved, better exposed block model that not only catered to the population but responded to the social fabric of this city as well.
