Architectural Conservation:Ahmedabad General Post Office

The site is an Ancillary Building, built in 1959 inside the the General Post Office (GPO) Campus, Ahmedabad. The location of site is inside the walled city of Ahmedabad, ‘the World Heritage Site.’ The project aims on preparing the Historic Timeline, Documenting the Site - Materials, Structural System and the Site Conditions. Further the project focuses on proposing a Conservation Plan which follows the principles of Minimal Intervention and Reversibility followed by a phase wise Maintenance Plan for the same.
