The project is placed in the Sarkhej community which has a strong historical significance of Sarkhej Roza, always brimming with activity and life. Navigating through the city, it was observed that the place has a high density of kids all around along with housewives. To cater this target group, I proposed a space TAMAASHA - The Expression box which has Drama, Dance & Music as main source of recreation. The motive of this project is to have a place for recreation for the locals where they can come together to voice out their expressions and also to give a platform for the aspiring talent of kids. It also has an intention to uplift the historical significance and urban revitalization of Sarkhej Roza. Dance refers to human movement either used as a form of expression or presented in a social, spiritual or performance setting. It has workshops where young theater workers become more aware of the totality that is theater, of the basic skill they need to develop and of other technical aspects that go into making of a meaningful theater performance. Also Music, which helps in expressing ideas, and emotions in significant forms through the elements of melody, harmony and color. The containers are placed in such a manner that it forms an enclosure within themselves with the motive of an introvert and reserved space according to the nature of the place. The performing space is kept in the center to make it more interactive. The mood and the ambiance of the built space is kept earthy and have pastel shades to neutralize the space in the community.
