As the textile mills in the vicinity grow at a fast pace, the waste from the textile industry becomes a matter of concern. The textile industry is the second most polluting industry annually generating a staggering amount of waste, which takes a long-time to disintegrate thereby adding to waste accumulation. Therefore, recycling is the largest concern today. The proposed design is a space to learn, explore, and experience waste-fabric in all its glory, and from that to learn about the methods of recycling of fabric, providing a space where designers and artists come together to explore this upcycling process, to create, execute and exhibit this exploration. Blending the process of adaptive reuse with textile recycling and upcycling, the program includes learning of recycling processes, making furniture and other elements out of textile waste, exploring textile waste and exhibiting and spreading awareness about this textile repurposing
