Fold to Uphold

From flat 2D paper to Kinetic 3D surfaces is the medium used to arrive at solutions to various design problems. Starting with basic solid forms which is cubes and cuboids to curves and hinges, House facades to Pop up story book to furniture pop up of existing designs to the final newly designed products were made using simple technique of cut and fold of a material like paper, corrugated sheet, metal sheets, mill board, etc. Kirigami, the technique of cut and fold of a 2D paper to uphold the desired 3D shape can be used to solve many design problems.
