Bridging Monoliths

Spaces of diverse qualities created by different elements, facilitating various activities, are formed by minimal structural principles. What started with a single module went on to become a rhythmic and repetitive formation of monoliths and bridges. From voluminous spaces to narrow ones and from dark, enclosed spaces to open-to-sky ones, they gave rise to an environment where column-like modules, plinth, retaining walls, beams and slabs actively participated in space making. The project is for a group of artists who spend three months working with each other. The spaces facilitate transformation. They could be permanent or temporary. Link to Detailed Portfolio
