The studio aims to understand the mechanism for the furniture and incorporate the mechanism into our design. Initial exercise includes explorations with the basic mechanism, a certain input giving a different output. Out of all 5 explorations, 1 mechanism was finalized and then was further worked upon. For the main project, multiple compact spaces furniture case studies were done, followed by identifying the function of the design. In any living space, a small workstation, and dressing area is a need, the entire project focuses on these two functions to be in as compact a space as possible.
