Railway Museum

“The World around us, so much of it our own Creation, shifts continually and often bewilders us.”- Lynch, Kevin: What time is this place? (1972)The project revolves around exploring the idea of reusing an abandoned saloon parking shed, categorized as a Historic Heritage Site. Adapting to a new function also meant looking back at the 'layers of information provided by the existing stricture in terms of context and materiality. The Railway Museum thus would house exhibits of different scales, celebrating the contribution made by Maharaja's to Indian Railways under the British Raj.
