Enhancement & Redevelopment of Formal Substandard Units

The portfolio focuses on a thorough examination of the city of Surat. The goal of the analysis is to create a housing plan to address the issue of housing unaffordability by increasing the number of affordable housing options available to people of all income levels. Due to housing inadequacy and population growth, there is a rapid increase in dilapidated and congested households. This raises the issue of substandard housing conditions, which are contributing to the housing shortage. As a result, the sub strategy, enhancement and redevelopment of formal substandard units, is developed to address the issue. In addition, a variety of policies, programs and regulations as well as reforms to existing policies are explored.
