Sammelan is a farmer’s market where local farmers, artisans and chefs come together to provide a variety of fresh produce and related products. It is run by an NGO which promotes organic farming and empowers local farmers. The aim here is to foster social interaction and support diverse indigenous practices, i.e., organic produce, artisanal food, regional cuisines, etc. Sammelan is a place where people of the community can come together and reconnect with their food and the people who make and grow it.
