Antlers - A Seating System

In this studio, there was an emphasis on exploration of metals and its related processes. Initially the exploration of the metals was done using metal rods of 4 mm and 6mm diameter which were bent and welded to form a cube of 1ft x 1ft x 1ft. After this the final project was to design a bench using metal rods for a selected context of an indoor office. The main focus was to make the furniture flatpack and design a joinery for the same. Antlers is a modular seating system with an extended seat frame which has an interlocking detail.
