Multivariate | An amalgamation of pieces

This studio focused on exploring metals as a material category. As part of our introduction, we visited various metal processing workshops to understand the manipulation of the material for different purposes. Further, we made a sculpture to understand the hands-on use of metal and its related tools and machines. The final project for this course involved designing a bench, using metal pipes as the primary material. During this studio, the emphasis was on a thorough understanding of the material, along with undertaking the design process for a furniture piece, keeping in mind the fabrication requirements and constraints.
