Type Abstract

Typography is an art of arrangement of letters to create appealing and easily readable language. Type appears everywhere in our environment. The studio teaches us how type and print can be used to not only convey the meanings through reading the words but also through the visuals that can impact the emotions of an individual as well. The course taught us hands-on practice with letterforms, spacing and ideation in the form of Calligraphy and Calligrams. Exploring print and graphics were a big part of this studio along with design development, strategy and analysis in visual communication.
