Feasibility of Bus Based transit system in Rajkot

The Feasibility Study for Mass Rapid Transit System for Rajkot city gives us the understanding to decide what Mode of public transportation a city required, and at what city size which type of system wants to achieve for MRTS, by planning actions and resources needed to achieve them. The process involved to achieve the aim started with understanding the characteristics of the city, data collection concerning land use, transportation choices, and the socio-economic characteristics of the city. Based on the existing situation analysis, demand analysis was done for the city, and an alternative scenario has been proposed. The portfolio examines MRTS in Rajkot, focusing on a bus-based system as BRTS and integrating it with city bus services, taking into account all relevant technological requirements, as well as detailed planning and designing of the infrastructure to make it feasible and viable for the city.
