Proposing Hybrid Transit System in Rajkot : Metro Neo

The studio aims to understand the process of undertaking a feasibility study of a Mass Rapid Transit System to be proposed in any city. Rajkot, Gujrat, was selected for this semester's case example. Different types of MRT Systems, their technologies and applications in Indian and Global contexts were researched and studied, and later, the understanding and inferences were applied to studio work. This portfolio focuses on the feasibility study of the Metro Neo, its specifications, station planning and designing, environmental and social impacts, and their mitigations. A brief introduction to Rajkot is given with an understanding of MRTS and Metro Neo as guided bus and trolley bus systems.
