Ameliorated Neighbourhood

Mumbai, or ‘The Dual City,’ is one of India's dominant urban centers and one of the world's largest and most densely populated cities. With an intense migrant influx came crowding, leading to socio-spatial disparity in the different socio-economic groups. This led to congestion, lack of public open spaces, poor infrastructure, a deeply disturbed ecology, and many other issues the government could not tackle through its policies and regulations.
To reduce the disparity and enhance the quality of life at Mahalaxmi Saat Rasta, the project aims to design an equitable, walkable, pedestrian, and vendor-friendly neighborhood.
