Special type of Concrete which allows water to pass through it. The concrete is designed in such a way that there are interconnected pores in it allowing water to pass through it. The concrete has very little or no fines in it.The higher the impervious cover, higher is the surface runoff leading to erosion, bank flooding etc and decreasing infiltration resulting in waterlogging and other such problems. Hence, a try to modify the properties of concrete is done to achieve high permeability with a considerable amount of strength.
