Sustainability Analysis of Dwelling & Building Materials

The studio, Engineering Sustainability, is an introduction into the impact of design, materials and technologies on the performance of a building. It is an exploration into the methods and software used to analyse and optimise the energy efficiency of a building through consideration of various parameters. The course also equips us with various standard codes related to sustainable design and construction such as the Energy Conservation Building Code( ECBC). Through this course we have been able to analyse the performance of our own dwelling as well as of a primary building construction material through its thermal and energy behaviour.
