A study on Coastal erosion and shoreline analysis

Shorelines are one of the most dynamic regions on earth with several natural processes. Trivandrum is the southernmost district of the state of Kerala with a long shoreline that is under the threat of extreme erosion. Both natural as well as anthropogenic activities. In recent years beaches that were world-famous has been disappeared in Trivandrum and coastal erosion is becoming a threat to humanity. This study helps to identify the amount and areas of shoreline movement, predict the future shorelines with the help of GIS technology, and understand the variations in the analysis using Landsat, Sentinel, and Google Earth data.
