KALA KOSH- A Library of Visual Arts

The library located near River Hooghly in Kolkata throws light on the traditional Pattachitra paintings. It has all the varieties of the paintings displayed. The library is designed keeping in mind the core concept of symmetry and repetition. It is an amalgamation of educational, non- educational and recreational spaces that make it a complete place where one can come, learn and enjoy. It also provides hands on workshop for better understanding. The place is situated amidst a wide range of trees hence one can feel connected towards nature as these paintings also have natural elements in them.
